Responsibilities
- Obtain, handle and update confidential medical records
- Assist doctors by pre-screening patients and taking vitals
- Triaging, phlebotomy and recording diagnostic laboratory test results
- Communicate basic clinical information to staff and patients
- Accommodate patients throughout their visit
- Perform a clinical review of charts for upcoming appointments
- Front and back office versatility
- Other medical assistant duties
Requirements
- Great customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable with patient intake, including monitoring vitals, drawing blood, and patient screening
- Basic familiarity with EMR systems
- High school diploma or equivalent educational experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
